A filling is a dental procedure in which material is used to “fill” areas of a decayed tooth. By inserting a filling in the decayed area, this procedure helps prevent the spread of decay and improve the overall structure of the tooth.
What is a cosmetic filling?
Traditional fillings are silver amalgam. Though they may be more durable, their silver appearance can grab the wrong attention to your smile. A cosmetic filling or composite white filling is white in color and gives a more natural appearance as it blends nicely with existing teeth.
